• 4/23/2015 Friday: Lt. Governor Wyman Receives Channel 3 Kids Camp Award

  Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will receive the Channel 3 Kids Camp WRAP award for her advocacy on children's issues and her work to expand access to health care. The award will be presented during their annual fundraiser for the Channel 3 Kids Camp which serves young people throughout the region.

• 4/10/2015 Monday: Lt. Governor Wyman Chairs Youth and Urban Violence Task Force

  Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will chair the first meeting of the Commission on Youth and Urban Violence. Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Wyman created the task force in March 2015 to examine the risk factors of youth violence in Connecticut cities and develop violence prevention policy and program recommendations.

• 3/20/2015 Lt. Governor Wyman Receives National Lt. Governors Association Health Leadership Award

  Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman today was recognized by the National Lieutenant Governors Association (NLGA) with the Public Leadership in Advancing Healthy Lifestyles award for her work as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Access Health CT, the state's healthcare exchange.

• 4/29/2015 Thursday: Lt. Governor Wyman Chairs Early Childhood Cabinet

  Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will co-chair the quarterly meeting of the Connecticut Early Childhood Cabinet with Office of Early Childhood Commissioner Myra Jones-Taylor. The Cabinet will address homelessness in families with young children and link efforts to ongoing work to end chronic homelessness by the end of 2016.

  Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will make remarks to 200 para educators, policymakers, and education faculty at the 2015 National Resource Center for Paraeducators annual conference.

• 4/6/2015 Tuesday: Lt. Governor Wyman Attends Housing Groundbreaking in Hartford, Speaks at Military Send-Off Ceremony

  Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will join Connecticut Department of Housing Commissioner Evonne Klein at the Hands on Hartford groundbreaking ceremony. The Hands on Hartford community center is making renovations to bring supportive housing, meal service, job training, and other programs under one roof.  The Housing Department invested $950,000 in the project.

• 4/13/2015 Tuesday: Lt. Governor Wyman Attends Heroes for Hire Career Fair

  Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will attend the annual Connecticut Department of Labor Heroes for Hire Career Fair.  This event is expected to attract around 1200 veterans and more than 90 Connecticut employers-and provides education, health, and other resources for veterans. 

• 4/27/2015 Tuesday: Lt. Governor Wyman Speaks at Events in Groton, Westbrook, and Hartford

  Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will make remarks at the annual Sunrise Workers' Memorial Day service hosted by the Southeastern Connecticut Central Labor Council and the AFL-CIO Community Services of Southeastern Connecticut.  The ceremony honors the men and women who have lost their lives while on the job.

• 4/21/2015 Wednesday: Lt Governor Wyman Attends CT National Guard Aviation Battalion Deployment

  Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will attend the deployment of the Connecticut Army National Guard Aviation Battalion. The 1-169 General Support Aviation Battalion will serve in Kosovo providing medical evacuation, transportation, and fuel support.

  Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will make remarks and present Governor Dannel P. Malloy's proclamation at the State Capitol's 37th annual Holocaust commemoration.

• 4/10/2015 Lt. Governor Wyman Chairs First Meeting of Commission on Youth and Urban Violence

  Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman chaired the first meeting of the Commission on Youth and Urban Violence. Created in March 2015 by Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Wyman, the task force is charged with examining the causes and triggers of youth violence, and developing anti-violence policy responses and recommendations.

  Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will receive the Charlene Block Award from the Alliance for Retired Americans for her advocacy for seniors and her leadership ensuring healthcare access. The award will be presented at their annual event.

• 4/24/2015 Saturday: Lt. Governor Wyman Speaks at Crime Victims' Rights Week Event, Marches in Meriden Parade

  Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will make remarks at the Office of the Victim Advocate's 5K Race to Engage Communities and Empower Victims. The National Crime Victim Rights' Week event raises awareness of programs and services available for victims.

  Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will make remarks on economic development initiatives and the legislative session to the Haddam and East Haddam divisions of the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce.
